Patrice Bergeron plays hockey for the Boston Bruins but will be part of Team Canada for the 2010 Winter Olympics.
I chose to write about hockey because my mom owned a hair salon and at the hair salon she cut hockey players’ hair (but not Patrice’s). Some of the hockey players names are: Baby Smith (he was the oldest player she knew),He played for the Montreal Canadiens. She also knew Brian Bellow, number 23 of the Montreal Canadiens who she was friends with and went to his cottage. Them came Paul Depietro, she also knew Mike Keane, Vincent Damphouse and Lyle Odeline who were all part of the team who won the Stanley Cup in 1993.
Patrice Bergeron play’s hockey for the Boston Bruins but will be part of Team Canada for the 2010 winter Olympics. Patrice was born on July 24’th 1985 at L’ancienne – Lorette, He weighs 194 pounds, His height is 6 ft 1 in, His position is center and he holds his hockey stick with his right hand.
In the 2003 NHL Patrice was drafted by the Boston Bruins 54’th over all.
During roockie season he was chosen to play at the NHL Young stars game in Minnesota.
At the end of that season Patrice was picked to play for the Canadien senior men’s team to compete in Prague.
On October 27, 2007 , Patrice had an injury, he was hit in the back by one of the players in the Philadelphia Flyer’s named Randy Jones. Patrice laied on the ice for a few minutes until getting wheeled off the ice in a stretcher. He got a two game suspension by the NHL. January 19, 2008 after everyone wondered if Patrice would come back for his return of the 2007-2008 season there were reports that Patrice was sent on vacation by the Boston Bruins.
At the teams second anual summer “development camp” he was working out with goalie Farnandez again. Patrice was back with the Boston Bruins during the 2008-09 season.
They chose him for the Olympics because he is a very good player and he didn’t give up even if he got injured.
