High School Prep. – Parent Survey Results

Parents have been sending in their ideas about how we can succeed in high school next year!  We’ll be poring over their notes but for now – here’s a little  “teaser” !

Boys and girls - Open House was such a great success – especially because so many parents were able to attend. I showed everyone what we’ll be doing in the classroom this year and they gave me some great ideas for our environmental theme. I think we’re going to have a really great year together!

Ethics - What can influence a person’s point of view on ethical issues? This week we’ve begun looking at  some of the world’s major religious codes beginning with Judaism.

Math - Our first topic of the year is “Patterns in Mathematics”. We’ve been working with tables and learning about variables and constants.

Social Studies - We’ve begun our study of democracy in the world today. Questions we’re thinking about – What is democracy? What makes a country a democracy?

Science – How are living things categorized?
